How can a pre-market digital health tech startup really get going? Blouin news talked with Laura Pugliese, Deputy Director of Innovation Research at health tech consultancy HITLAB, to find out. HITLAB has recently partnered with the NYC Economic Development Corporation to create the Digital Health Breakthrough Network (DHBN), which will help chosen applicants at the earliest stages transform their ideas into field trials and finished products ready for the market. If the data from the companies’ DHBN pilot testing looks robust, “that’s something they can use to pitch towards investors,” said Pugliese. The DHBN will announce the winners from its first batch of applicants in May.
